A Royal month to remember
The first weekend of May will see the Royal Coronation of King Charles. As part of international celebrations across the Commonwealth for the new king, there will be a royal wave of activities across Northamptonshire. One event in particular that we’re excited to tuck into is The Big Lunch at Delapré Abbey, which will be full of fun, flags, and festivities.
The Big Lunch
Communities are invited to share food and fun together in a nationwide act of celebration and friendship from Saturday, 6th May to Monday, 8th May. From a cup of tea with a neighbour to a street party, a Coronation Big Lunch brings the celebrations to your neighbourhood and is a great way to get to know your community a little better.
Thousands of events are expected to take place in every corner of the United Kingdom this May as people take to their streets, gardens, parks, and community spaces to join the Coronation celebrations and mark this historic occasion.
The Big Lunch is an event that you can either attend or organise on your own, and if you’re an individual or a community that would like to plan some jubilant activities, we can send you in the right direction.
