Join Northampton Town Council for Oak Apple Day, featuring the town and military procession, and ceremony.

The Great Fire Augmented Reality Interactive App will also be launched, kicking off a series of commemorative events.

Gather in the market square with live music from 10.30am, shortly followed by a civic parade. The annual civic ceremony, organised by Northampton Town Council and the Lord Lieutenancy, remembers the generosity of King Charles II, who donated more than 1,000 tonnes of timber to reconstruct All Saints’ Church and halved the town’s taxes for seven years following the blaze in 1675.

This is a free event for all to attend and everyone is welcome to join the parade. People are encouraged to watch the processions but also head over to the service in All Saints at 11am.
