The ROMANS RETURN as the Chester House Estate Roman Fest is back again on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June 2025.

Admission to the event is FREE for the whole family to enjoy but please ensure that you book a free ticket so we can manage numbers for this very popular, previously sold out event.

A sneak preview of the exciting programme of this year’s Roman Fest is:

1. Roman army displays;
2. Roman crafts activities and demonstrations;
3. Stalls with family friendly activities run by museums, local societies and professional archaeologists from Northamptonshire and beyond;
4. The Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre Open Day;
5. Tours of the excavation;
6. A pop up Laboratory  run by University of Leicester School of Archaeology and Ancient History;
7.  A art exhibition inspired by the Roman world by students at Northampton College.

And so much more to be announced in the coming weeks.
