Join history enthusiast Tim Page as he shares photographic slides – on the original slide projector – of the Stanwick Lakes site as it was during the archaeological and quarry work excavations in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The photos, taken by past Stanwick village resident photographer and historian Ernie Head , are a candid curation that tell the story of one man’s interest and enthusiasm for documenting the local area.

Tim Page is a life long resident of Stanwick Village and was honoured to have been gifted Ernie’s slides and photographic collection. As a keen photographer himself, Tim shares Ernie’s memories of the quarry works and archaeological digs through this vintage slide show.
