Higham Fears Archeology and Research Society present a talk: The Moated Manorial Site of Barton Seagrave.
Dale Munn will be talking to HiFARS about the large earthworks known locally as the ‘Castle Field’ on the outskirts of Kettering.
This talk uses a landscape archaeological approach to explore the nature and purpose of the site and its relationship to the village of Barton Seagrave.
You are encouraged to walk the site before the HiFARS talk. Start in the field above St Botolph’s Road by the cricket club and walk down past the church to the lower field.
