SUMMARY:Lithic Studies Society knapping event
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that the Lithic Studies Society will be holding a Knap-In session on Saturday 9th May 2026 in the beautiful grounds of Chester House Estate\, Irchester\, Northamptonshire. \nTickets are only £10 and available now: https://buytickets.at/lithicstudiessociety/1886034 \nThe event is aimed at intermediate and experienced knappers\, and is an opportunity to gather and exchange insights\, techniques and materials. There will be no formal instruction\, but committee members will be present with knap and chat about their work. \nParticipants need to bring their own knapping kit. We will have some safety goggles and gloves available but encourage all participants to bring their own if they can as every participant will be required to wear them. We will have a little Norfolk flint on hand for the day\, but please bring any of your own material you might like to work on! \nThe event is open to all knappers with prior experience. Numbers are limited to 15\, on a first come first served basis. Full details are on our website.
