Northants & Rutland Open Studios is more than an art festival – it is an opportunity to explore hidden studios\, beautiful villages\, bustling towns\, country gardens\, galleries\, and creative spaces\, while meeting the artists who make our region such a vibrant place to visit. \nFrom painting\, ceramics\, and sculpture to textiles\, printmaking\, jewellery\, photography\, and glass\, every venue offers something different. Some artists will be opening their working studios\, others will be exhibiting together in shared spaces and galleries\, creating exciting opportunities to experience a wide variety of work in one visit. \nStart your journey at our free Central Exhibition at Lamport Hall\, running from 5th September – 3rd October\, Wednesday to Sunday\, 10am-4pm. Bringing together work from artists across both counties\, it is the perfect place to discover new artists\, plan your route\, and be inspired to explore further afield. Whether you visit one venue or twenty\, we hope this year’s festival encourages you to slow down\, explore more\, support local creativity\, and enjoy the rich artistic talent on your doorstep. SUMMARY:Twelve ‘Creatives at Pytchley’ to hold a wonder of art
DESCRIPTION:What do you call a collective of artists? A beautiful temptation\, and for the ‘Creatives at Pytchley’ a weekend treat of inspiration\, unique gifts and a world of art opened for you to immerse yourself in. Running for the limited time of the 12th-13th of September\, from 10am-4pm with free entry\, this is one event you can’t find yourself missing. \nWoodwork\, paintings\, glass\, drawings\, jewellery\, gifts\, mosaics\, and so much more\, this group of twelve artists have designed the perfect weekend of art\, all to be held in the impressive All Saints Church at Pytchley – an architect’s dream with medieval foundations\, gargoyles and beautiful stone arches\, the art being further heightened by the atmospherics. \nIf you love the sound of this free event\, it’s also part of a range of activities being organised by the Northants and Rutland Open Studios with its community of hundreds of artists from around the county and surrounding areas. To kick-start this September a series of events are being held around the region.
