DESCRIPTION:This September\, we invite you to step beyond the familiar and explore a world of creativity waiting to be discovered across Northamptonshire and Rutland. Northants & Rutland Open Studios is more than an art festival – it is an opportunity to explore hidden studios\, beautiful villages\, bustling towns\, country gardens\, galleries\, and creative spaces\, while meeting the artists who make our region such a vibrant place to visit. \nFrom painting\, ceramics\, and sculpture to textiles\, printmaking\, jewellery\, photography\, and glass\, every venue offers something different. Some artists will be opening their working studios\, others will be exhibiting together in shared spaces and galleries\, creating exciting opportunities to experience a wide variety of work in one visit. \nStart your journey at our free Central Exhibition at Lamport Hall\, running from 5th September – 3rd October\, Wednesday to Sunday\, 10am-4pm. Bringing together work from artists across both counties\, it is the perfect place to discover new artists\, plan your route\, and be inspired to explore further afield. Whether you visit one venue or twenty\, we hope this year’s festival encourages you to slow down\, explore more\, support local creativity\, and enjoy the rich artistic talent on your doorstep. DESCRIPTION:Heritage Open Days – Special ‘Everyday History’ Daventry Heritage Walking Tour with The National Trust \n🎟️ FREE event.\n🗓️ Saturday 19th September\, 10.30am.\n📍 Meet outside Sheaf Street Health Store.\n🔈 Tour will have headsets for attendees to wear to clearly hear the Guide.\n🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Family Friendly\n🐶 Polite dogs welcome \nA special version of our historic tour as part of the National Trusts Heritage Open Days. \nLed by local historian Susan you’ll get to know the story behind our town centre\, the buildings and the people who have lived here. \nThis year we have had headsets so you can clearly hear our tour guide through the hustle and bustle of the town. \nThe tour starts at 10:30 and takes about an hour\, there will be opportunity to ask questions at the end if there was any thing you were curious about. \n🚗 FREE PARKING – We recommend using the cinema car park\, Saint James car park or Newland’s car park which allow you to park for 3 hours.
