A beautiful temptation\, and for the ‘Creatives at Pytchley’ a weekend treat of inspiration\, unique gifts and a world of art opened for you to immerse yourself in. Running for the limited time of the 12th-13th of September\, from 10am-4pm with free entry\, this is one event you can’t find yourself missing. \nWoodwork\, paintings\, glass\, drawings\, jewellery\, gifts\, mosaics\, and so much more\, this group of twelve artists have designed the perfect weekend of art\, all to be held in the impressive All Saints Church at Pytchley – an architect’s dream with medieval foundations\, gargoyles and beautiful stone arches\, the art being further heightened by the atmospherics. \nIf you love the sound of this free event\, it’s also part of a range of activities being organised by the Northants and Rutland Open Studios with its community of hundreds of artists from around the county and surrounding areas. To kick-start this September a series of events are being held around the region. Or what it would have been like to live there? \nCome along and hear Alison’s lively talk about life in the Workhouse – the tales and scandals of both the inmates and the wardens\, in celebration of the National Heritage Open Days and this year’s theme “Everyday Lives of Working People”. \nAlison has lived in the Towcester area for over 30 years and has co-written three books on local history topics including one on Stories. She is a member of the Towcester and District Local History Society and one of its research group members. \nHeld in the Malt Room on the second floor at 7pm. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 6.30pm. Talk will last around 45 minutes\, plus some time will be available for Q&As and to chat to the Towcester and District Local History Society.

On offer will be :\nHomemade cake and refreshments for £3.50 per person\nLocal stalls including some crafts made by the Guides\nLive music \nAll funds will go towards the local unit work\, and the Guides who take part on the day will be contributing to achievement of badges. \nFree to enter. Bede House is an accessible building.  Only disabled parking on site\, free parking can be found in Midland Road\, NN10 8DL\, located behind venue.

They perform regularly at various venues throughout the NN10 area.\nThis month they will be singing at St Mary's church for free\, with retiring donations going towards general church fundraising.\nSt Mary's is an accessible building with a hearing loop.  Only disabled parking on site\, free parking can be found behind the venue on Midland Road\, NN108DL.\nRefreshments can be found in the Bede House next to the church
