DESCRIPTION:A unique opportunity to meet our walking boys up close before heading out on a beautiful walk with your own alpaca through our newly planted woodland with stunning views across the countryside. \nOur boys love getting out of their paddock to meet new people\, explore the land and find all the best forage and it’s good for us too. The benefits of spending time in nature are well known and combining that with a walk and getting to know and spend time with your own alpaca is a real boost for our wellbeing. \n\nOn arrival we’ll introduce you to our herd (each with their own unique personality!) and share some information about alpacas and how we take care of them.​ We’ll also share some health and safety guidance and tips on handling and leading respectfully. \nWe will then match you to the most suitable alpaca for you and after a brief introduction to your alpaca in terms of name\, personality and particular quirks\, we’ll be off! \nWe’ll take them on a walk around our 28 acres of land exploring tracks that meander through our newly planted woodlands and around the open wetlands. \nWe’ll then head down to The Hideout to wash our hands and use facilities before heading off.

The past comes to life in a leisurely walk beginning at 2.30pm at the Village Hall\, then on to the atmospheric Church of St Mary the Virgin. In the Hall\, en route and in the Church\, meet famous and infamous characters linked to Grafton\, in costume\, including Elizabeth Woodville\, the White Queen\, and other Woodvilles\, Richard III\, Henry VIII and some of his wives\, Cardinal Wolsey\, and Elizabeth I. You’ll also hear the tragic story of Lady Crane\, the tenant of Grafton House (formerly Henry VIII’s palace) when it was destroyed during a Civil War siege; an account of the mystery of the Grafton Portrait (the earliest likeness of Shakespeare?); and why members of the FitzRoy family\, Dukes of Grafton\, are commemorated in the Church. And then back to the Hall for tea and cakes.\nBooking is essential. The cost is £11.50 per head\, including refreshments\, for adults; £5.00 for under 16s; and under 5s free.
