DESCRIPTION:A unique opportunity to meet our walking boys up close before heading out on a beautiful walk with your own alpaca through our newly planted woodland with stunning views across the countryside. \nOur boys love getting out of their paddock to meet new people\, explore the land and find all the best forage and it’s good for us too. The benefits of spending time in nature are well known and combining that with a walk and getting to know and spend time with your own alpaca is a real boost for our wellbeing. \n\nOn arrival we’ll introduce you to our herd (each with their own unique personality!) and share some information about alpacas and how we take care of them.​ We’ll also share some health and safety guidance and tips on handling and leading respectfully. \nWe will then match you to the most suitable alpaca for you and after a brief introduction to your alpaca in terms of name\, personality and particular quirks\, we’ll be off! \nWe’ll take them on a walk around our 28 acres of land exploring tracks that meander through our newly planted woodlands and around the open wetlands. \nWe’ll then head down to The Hideout to wash our hands and use facilities before heading off.

DESCRIPTION:Deene Park\nMay 3 – May 4\nBook your tickets now \nAbout this event \nDEENE PARK PLUNDERED \n“A noble legacy shaken by the storm of Civil War in Northamptonshire” \nA FULL DAY OF INTERACTIVE HISTORY FOR ALL THE FAMILY 3rd & 4th OF MAY 2026. \nWE INVITE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO STEP BACK IN HISTORY WITH US \nWatch and experience first-hand\, the thrill and excitement of large musket volleys\, pike engagements\, with drums and colours and the full panoply of the 17th Century. Soldiers and civilians demonstrate life during this turbulent period of history. \nMembers of the Sealed Knot will create a reenactment of fictional encounters between elements of Parliamentary and local Royalist forces with the finale each day being a battle involving hundreds of seventeenth century soldiers with accompanying cannon fire and cavalry charges. \nOur Living History encampment and activities tent will be open throughout the day and will give a close-up portrayal of life in the 17th Century and allow interaction between the public and re-enactors to both entertain and educate. \nThe Society and event organisers will showcase Local and National Heritage in a dedicated Heritage Zone. Visitors can meet heritage organisations\, societies and visitor attractions\, showcasing the county’s rich diversity of history and heritage. DESCRIPTION:A five-distance circular event that has something for everyone. The event features a mixture of trails and roads over 10k (roads)\, half-marathon\, three-quarter marathon (new in 2025 for anti clockwise!)\, marathon and ultra marathon distances. \nAll the race options start and finish at Naseby Village Hall\, nestled at the heart of the quaint village of Naseby – made famous as the home of the Battle of Naseby in 1645\, a major scuffle during the English Civil War. \nNaseby is a fantastic central location\, with easy access to the A14\, M1 and M6. From there\, the route takes runners across the Northamptonshire countryside\, with the multi-terrain marathon and ultra taking them past a host of country houses. Expect to see Holdenby House\, Cottesbrooke\, and Althorp – the home of the Spencer family and final resting place of Princess Diana.

SUMMARY:Yoga with Alpacas
DESCRIPTION:The intention of these sessions is to combine the calming and uplifting effects of yoga with the soothing and peaceful (and often funny) effects of being amongst the alpacas with the added bonus of the benefits of being out in nature. \nAn opportunity to take our practice outside and soak up some of that famous camelid calm.  \nAlpacas are gentle\, calm and curious creatures making them a soothing accompaniment to a yoga practice. \nThe idea of these sessions is to co-create a state of calm with the alpacas. Their peaceful grazing and quiet presence can support us to become more relaxed and present\, in turn allowing the alpacas to feel more at ease with us. \nThere’s nothing complicated or inaccessible about these sessions. They are suitable for total beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. \nWe will gather outside of the paddock for an introduction to the alpacas and health and safety briefing.   \nWe then take a simple yoga practice together amongst the alpacas before closing out with a short meditation or savasana if you prefer (an opportunity to sit or lie in stillness for a few moments). \nAlpacas are incredibly curios creatures and our calm presence in the paddock often prompts a gentle enquiry from them. They may come over for a closer inspection and (if you’re lucky!) you might even get a little sniff or the initiation of a nose to nose greeting. \nWe’ll close out the session by heading back down to The Hideout to wash our hands. \n​We often have cria (babies) on the farm and you’ll likely get to see them during your visit.
