SUMMARY:Shires and Spires Ultra
DESCRIPTION:A five-distance circular event that has something for everyone. The event features a mixture of trails and roads over 10k (roads)\, half-marathon\, three-quarter marathon (new in 2025 for anti clockwise!)\, marathon and ultra marathon distances. \nAll the race options start and finish at Naseby Village Hall\, nestled at the heart of the quaint village of Naseby – made famous as the home of the Battle of Naseby in 1645\, a major scuffle during the English Civil War. \nNaseby is a fantastic central location\, with easy access to the A14\, M1 and M6. From there\, the route takes runners across the Northamptonshire countryside\, with the multi-terrain marathon and ultra taking them past a host of country houses. Expect to see Holdenby House\, Cottesbrooke\, and Althorp – the home of the Spencer family and final resting place of Princess Diana.

SUMMARY:Yoga with Alpacas
DESCRIPTION:The intention of these sessions is to combine the calming and uplifting effects of yoga with the soothing and peaceful (and often funny) effects of being amongst the alpacas with the added bonus of the benefits of being out in nature. \nAn opportunity to take our practice outside and soak up some of that famous camelid calm.  \nAlpacas are gentle\, calm and curious creatures making them a soothing accompaniment to a yoga practice. \nThe idea of these sessions is to co-create a state of calm with the alpacas. Their peaceful grazing and quiet presence can support us to become more relaxed and present\, in turn allowing the alpacas to feel more at ease with us. \nThere’s nothing complicated or inaccessible about these sessions. They are suitable for total beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. \nWe will gather outside of the paddock for an introduction to the alpacas and health and safety briefing.   \nWe then take a simple yoga practice together amongst the alpacas before closing out with a short meditation or savasana if you prefer (an opportunity to sit or lie in stillness for a few moments). \nAlpacas are incredibly curios creatures and our calm presence in the paddock often prompts a gentle enquiry from them. They may come over for a closer inspection and (if you’re lucky!) you might even get a little sniff or the initiation of a nose to nose greeting. \nWe’ll close out the session by heading back down to The Hideout to wash our hands. \n​We often have cria (babies) on the farm and you’ll likely get to see them during your visit.
