SUMMARY:Sally McRae Christmas Wreath Tree Decoration Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday 7th & Friday 13th November\, 1:30pm-4pm \nChristmas Wreath Tree Decoration Workshop 7th & 13th November\, 1:30pm to 4pm\, £50 \nIn this workshop Sally will guide you through making colourful wreath abstract tree . You will have access to a wide choice of colours in both transparent and opaque glass to design your tree ornaments. Sally will teach you how to cut glass (or chop the glass with mosaic cutters) to make your wreaths. You will have access to all the tools and safety equipment necessary to make your beautiful decorations. Most people should be able to make 2 tree decorations during the workshop\, for very fast workers additional decorations will be charged at £6 each to cover the cost of materials and firing in the kiln. After the workshop your Sally will take you decorations to her studio where they will be fired in her kiln. They will be ready within 14 days of the workshop and can be collected from Lamport Hall or posted out to you for the cost of the postage. Suitable for all abilities. Old clothes are recommended. Please do not wear open toed shoes. \nAbout the Tutor \nAfter a 36 year career in Local Government Sally thought it was time to try something new. She loves to be creative and wanted to do something that would combine her creativity with her geeky technical side. Sally has always loved glass\, particularly the reflections you get from the sun shining through garden art and after attending a couple of basic glass fusing courses she bought her first kiln in 2019. There are so many things to make\, different techniques to learn\, firing schedules to understand – the possibilities for experimentation are endless. Sally loves teaching workshops\, they are always relaxed and fun and she encourages everyone to come up with their own designs. She particularly enjoys working with people who say they are not artistic or creative because they always surprise themselves by creating something beautiful.
