NORTHAMPTON: The Shoosmith Gallery presents: ‘Drawn from the Wild’ – An Exhibition of Animal Art by Cate Kutas

‘Drawn from the Wild’ brings together a selection of work by Cate Kutas, reflecting a close observation of the natural world and a deep appreciation for the diversity of animal life.
Born in Leicestershire and based in Northamptonshire, Cate is a self-taught wildlife artist specialising in soft pastel and graphite. A member of the Association of Animal Artists, her work encapsulates the balance of strength and vulnerability in the animal kingdom.
The work will be displayed alongside the gallery’s permanent collection of watercolour paintings from Northampton’s Shoosmith family, including the celebrated Thurston Laidlaw Shoosmith (1865 – 1933).
The gallery will also be holding ‘meet the artist’ days on Saturday 18th July and Saturday 1st August. Cate will demonstrating her techniques and offering visitors an opportunity to chat and learn more about her process.
The exhibition runs from Thursday 9th July to Tuesday 4th August at The Shoosmith Gallery, Delapré Abbey, Northampton, NN4 8AW.
Artworks will be available for purchase.
Admission and parking are free.

Saturday: 11am – 4pm.
