Delapré Abbey is set to close out 2025 with a festive season to remember. From cherished traditions to exciting new experiences, the historic Abbey will come alive this winter with large-scale events including its much-loved Christmas Fair, Santa’s Grotto, and an all-new theatre programme.

The celebrations begin with the return of the Annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November 2025 - back and better than ever. For £2 Visitors can explore a wide range of artisan stalls and enjoy a host of seasonal attractions, including a walk-in Snow Globe, friendly alpacas, and vintage fairground rides.

New for this year, Delapré Abbey has teamed up with Wild Sauna Club to offer a one-of-a-kind way to escape the holiday hustle. Guests can relax and recharge with a portable sauna and cold plunge experience, available to book via Wild Sauna Club’s website. And no Christmas at Delapré Abbey would be complete without a visit from Santa himself, who will be saying hello to all the visitors throughout the Abbey’s Christmas Fair.

For a sixth year, Delapré Abbey will be collecting food donations for Northampton’s Hope Centre and Food Aid Far Cotton.

From Friday 28th November to Sunday 21st December, families are invited to step through the doors of Delapré Abbey and into a world of festive magic — Santa’s Grotto. Father Christmas has set up his very own workshop as he prepares for the big night. Children can share their Christmas wishes, meet Santa himself, and receive a special early gift straight from his sleigh. It’s a truly magical experience that will fill hearts with joy and create cherished memories for the whole family.

Adding even more magic to the season, the Abbey’s grounds will sparkle with the annual Winter Light Trail, running from 28th November to 31st December, offering visitors a truly enchanting evening experience.

Indoors, guests can indulge in a Dickens’ Afternoon Tea in the Abbey’s Library between 13th and 21st December, blending festive flavours with a touch of Victorian charm.

For theatre lovers, A Christmas Carol: Don’t Go into the Cellar will take to the stage from 20th to 21st December, bringing Charles Dickens’ timeless classic to life within the atmospheric setting of the Abbey’s 17th Century Wine Cellar.
