About Bluebell Wood Boardwalk at Ferry Meadows

The boardwalk running along the river in Bluebell Wood, Ferry Meadows was created with funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund through the Nenescape Landscape Partnership scheme and with the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and Nene Park Trust staff. Find out more about the project to build it. Enjoy the river views, springtime bluebells, sounds of woodpeckers and the multitude of butterflies as you walk along this beautiful and accessible walkway.

The Bluebell Wood Boardwalk is shown as the purple and white trail running alongside the River Nene at the top right on the map of Ferry Meadows. Enjoy an amazing display of Bluebells in spring and the smell of wild garlic in summer. Later in the year enjoy the autumnal colours and the lovely views once the leaves fall in winter. Distance 2.6 miles. Access for All: The trail follows surfaced and woodland paths with some steep sections.
