Corby Town Football Club were formed in 1948 and are the second club to represent the town, following Stewarts & Lloyds Corby, who were formed 13 years earlier in 1935. The club’s nickname “The Steelmen’ derives from the old steelworks that were in Corby. Did you know the club’s crest was created through a fan competition in their 1946-47 season. The prize for the winner was £5! The club is also home to many football teams (both for adults and children) and an academy. Regular camps are held during half-terms and holidays, and there’s even Walking football clubs available if you’re over 65.
