Corby has a unique history, particularly its connection to the steel industry and the influx of Scottish workers, earning it the nickname “Little Scotland.” This industrial heritage is a significant part of the town’s identity.

Surrounded by many beautiful woodlands, Corby offers shopping opportunities at the Willow Place Shopping Centre and the town also has entertainment venues, including Adrenaline Alley, The Savoy Cinema, The Core at Corby Cube, and East Midlands International Swimming Pool.

This year, Corby is celebrating 75 years of New Town Status and will have many events celebrating this milestone in 2025.
