About Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust

The Northamptonshire Film Archive Trust is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers dedicated to the preservation of cine film and equipment. They are formal members of the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum. The Trust has in the region of 5,000 reels of film in its collection both professional and amateur and of all gauges.

It has a particular interest in the collection of film depicting events in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties and is frequently called upon by television companies seeking specific footage for inclusion in documentaries or news reports. Like books in a library that need to be read, the Trust believes film is meant to be seen. As a self-funded charity organisation and, as a means of financial support, the team arrange visits to educational, historical and heritage groups across the county.
