About Salcey Forest

Just a short jaunt from Northampton, discover Salcey Forest. The ancient woodlands are home to many veteran oak trees known as “The Druids.” Explore the waymarked walking trails that meander through woodland landscapes. From one miles to six miles, there’s a trail for you. For a traffic-free ride, hop on your bike and pedal along the cycle trail. No bike? No worries! Why not hire one at the on-site cycle hire?

If you’re bringing the little ones, they’ll love the play areas and character trails. Keep an eye out for the magnificent Gruffalo sculpture — it’s a hit with kids and adults alike!

Enjoy endless walking trails, a family cycling trail, adventure play area and even an onsite café selling tasty homemade meals and cakes in a warm, friendly environment. Finish your cycle ride in the forest with a homemade cake and a coffee.

Salcey Forest is thrilled to announce the opening of their brand-new disc golf course! Nestled among the trees, the 9 hole course offers a fantastic way to spend time in the forest with friends and family. Come and experience the fun new activity everybody is talking about!
