About Suddenly On Sheaf Street

Suddenly On Sheaf Street is Daventry’s independent bookshop. Based in a beautiful 16th building on the pedestrianised Sheaf Street.

Books and more for the relentlessly curious and crafty is their tagline as they not only stock over 10,000 books but a huge range of yarn alongside craft kits, stationery and gifts.

Their books include children’s, young adults, sci-fi/fantasy, contemporary fiction along with a host of non fiction – there’s bound to be something for everyone.

Free parking throughout Daventry allows for a great shopping experience. Newlands/Aldi carpark is situated just behind the bookshop (there are even EV points).

They welcome well behaved dogs and have drinking water as well as treats!

The knowledgeable team are always happy to talk books and help with recommendations to assist with the perfect read.

They also run book clubs, workshops and events. Past events have included author signings, modern calligraphy, knitting, crochet and creative writing.
