About Volunteering at East Carlton Countryside Park

East Carlton is a stunning country park set in 102 acres of parks and woodland near Corby featuring a cafe, shop and free parking for all visitors. The park was formerly the deer park surrounding the hall, which was the country seat of the Palmer family until the 1930s. The present hall, constructed in 1870, was designed for the Palmer family by E.P. Law of Northampton. It is in an Italianate style with French pavilion roofs.

Law was responsible for the design of a number of buildings in the area including the former Rectory on the western side of the village. Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience with many social benefits and for dedicated volunteers there is the provision of free training opportunities through the Corby Woodland Project. Volunteers are also required to help run Foxy’s woodland shop, where you can retail experience in a beautiful setting.
