Midlands Festival of Nature, Wicksteed Park, Kettering

The Midlands Festival of Nature is a grassroots celebration of wildlife, conservation, creativity and community. Bringing together environmental groups, independent makers, artists, educators, researchers, wildlife rescuers and local organisations, the festival offers a day centred on meaningful engagement with the natural world.
Unlike highly commercialised events, the Midlands Festival of Nature is intentionally informal, authentic and community-led. It is designed to create space for real conversations, hands-on experiences and genuine inspiration. Visitors can explore stalls, talks, workshops, live demonstrations and interactive displays covering everything from wildlife rescue and habitat restoration to gardening for nature, local biodiversity, citizen science and sustainable living.
The festival welcomes people of all ages and levels of knowledge, whether lifelong naturalists or those simply beginning to reconnect with nature. Families, photographers, birdwatchers, artists, campaigners and curious visitors alike will find opportunities to learn, participate and discover.
At its core, the festival exists to strengthen the relationship between people and the living world around them. It is a celebration not only of nature itself, but of the communities working quietly and passionately to protect it.
Hosted by the Kettering Nature Group, the Midlands Festival of Nature reflects a growing movement for accessible, local and community-driven conservation across the region.
