Author Sue Turbett shares the remarkable journey behind her debut novel ‘Eagle Sister’. Sue found inspiration for her compelling story of resilience and female empowerment while travelling on horseback through Kyrgyzstan. She stayed with nomads, drank mare’s milk, and met the golden eagle hunters. Sue also reflects on her career at the BBC, from Radio 4’s Today programme to directing live TV news, and how she made the transition from journalism to fiction writing. Accompanied by beautiful photography this talk is for book lovers, travel enthusiasts, and people who love an inspirational story.
