NORTHAMPTON: David Hockney Exhibition at The Shoosmith Gallery, Delapré Abbey

Friday 7th August – Thursday 27th August 2026
The Shoosmith Gallery at Delapré Abbey
This August, in collaboration with Northampton Fine Art, The Shoosmith Gallery presents ‘David Hockney: A Lasting Image’ – a vibrant exhibition celebrating the life and extraordinary legacy of one of Britain’s most celebrated artists.
Discover a carefully curated selection of original works, rare publications and collectable pieces. These will be displayed alongside the gallery’s permanent collection of watercolour paintings by Northampton’s Shoosmith family, including the highly-regarded Thurston Laidlaw Shoosmith (1865-1933).
The gallery also invites you to register your interest to attend an exclusive Private View on the 7th August. Simply visit their ‘What’s On’ page at www.shoosmithgallery.org/whats-on , click register, enter your details, and you’ll be contacted with further information. As spaces are limited, attendance will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Entry to the exhibition is free, with works available for purchase.
Opening hours: Tuesday – Friday: 10am – 4pm
Saturday: 11am – 4pm.
