Join Luke (‘the Whittling Nurse’) for this one day workshop for beginners, introducing the craft of whittling. The workshop will start with a walk-and-talk section through the woodland walk which will cover all aspects of foraging for your own materials. Participants will then return to the Learning Centre where they will be able to view a selection of whittled pieces and designs produced by the workshop lead.
Each participant will then choose, from a small selection of seasoned woods, a piece that they will be working on to make a wand.
Participants will go home at the end of the day with a whittled wand of their own design.
Ages 18+
All skill levels welcome. This workshop is suitable for beginners, with no previous experience of whittling.
Cost £50 includes unlimited tea and coffee.
