World Rugby has announced that six matches will take place at the cinch Stadium at Franklins Gardens in Northampton as the match schedule for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 is revealed. Home to Northampton Saints and a regular host of Loughborough Lightning matches, the Gardens is set to play host to eight pool matches across two weeks of exhilarating action. The only venue within the Midlands, Northampton is no stranger to massive rugby moments. England icon Emily Scarratt has fired many a point through the posts there, and adds, “Franklin’s Gardens is a traditional rugby hotbed and we can’t wait to bring the Rugby World Cup there in 2025.”
The Official Women’s Rugby World Cup Fan Zone will also be on Northampton Market Square celebrating family fun across Northamptonshire so you can expect face painting, craft activities, mascots, rugby parade. Each day, the fan zone will feature a big screen and a licensed bar, too.
